My name is Martin Mcnerney. I'm an actor, writer, filmmaker, & musician from London England. I studied performing arts for two years at Hammersmith and West London College from 1993 -1995. I loved studying and being in that enviroment, learning my craft was very exciting and fun. I obtained my BTEC National Diploma in performing arts in 1995.
In 1990 I was also in a Hip Hop group called Armed and Dangerous for about a year as one of the main rap artist with my school friends. A while later I joined an R&B band called Two Funk Entertainment. For four years we performed live around most of London at many interesting, cool venues. After I left Two Funk Entertainment I decided to work on all my own music productions, writing, performing, producing, working on internet radio shows, and then collaborating with other new artists.
Whilst still working on all my music, I still found the time to work on many short films and feature films. In 1998 I attended the City Lit, in London studying method acting techniques, which gave me a new insight into acting. In 2003 I attended the City Lit in London studying in the performance acting workshop. In 2019 I attended The City Academy in London studying in three different courses, comedy acting, then working on method acting, finally on to meisner technique. In 2005 I decided to set up Artistic Base, a platform to produce my own films and music. In 2006 my first feature film I wrote, directed and starred in called, Nightlights and Sunrise was screened at the Portobello film festival in London, to good reviews. Working at Artistic Base I can now produce my own interesting projects and ideas. I also enjoy working for other artists, directors, writers, producers, musicians, It's a real challenge and a lot of fun.
